Dancing with the Stars waltzes to Mondays to avoid inevitable 'Idol' doom [Jan. 15th, 2007|10:57 am]
The After Show
The rumors can now cease, because to avoid getting slaughtered by FOX's whooly mammoth "American Idol," the fourth season of "Dancing with the Stars" will move to Mondays and Tuesdays starting March 19.

There will be a two-hour premiere on Monday, March 19 at 8-10p.m., ET. The first results show won’t air until March 27 at 9, after the second performance show, which will also be two hours in length at 8-10p.m.

Come April 2, the show will "air Mondays from 8:00-9:30 p.m, and ‘Dancing with the Stars the Results Show’ on Tuesdays from 9:00-10:00 p.m,” ABC said. However, "American Idol" will be airing its performance show from 8 to 9 on Tuesdays. There has been no word yet on a confirmed cast for "Dancing with the Stars," though.

If you're a 'Stars' and/or 'Idol' fan, rest assured that you won't have to flick back and forth to watch!

14th season of MTV Challenges brings "The Inferno III" [Jan. 15th, 2007|08:36 am]
The After Show
Fresh of their surprisingly stellar, actual new format of "The Duel," the challenges take us back to the fire pits for a third swing.

"The Inferno III" takes us to Cape Town, South Africa with the same theme of Good Guys versus Bad Asses. The cast is full of newbies from their respective seasons, but thankfully some of our favorites have returned. However, try as I might, I'm not too impressed with the cast list.

Good Guys
Ace Amerson, RW: Paris
Alton Williams, RW: Las Vegas
Cara Zavaleta, RR: South Pacific
Colie Edison, RW: Denver
Davis Mallory, RW: Denver
John Devenanzio, RW: Key West
Paula Meronek, RW: Key West
Rachel Moyal, RW: Austin
Susie Meister, RR: Down Under
Timmy Beggy, RR: USA - The Second Adventure

Bad Asses
Abram Boise, RR: South Pacific
Aneesa Ferreira, RW: Chicago
Chris "CT" Tamburello, RW: Paris/
Tyrie Ballard, RW:Denver
Danny Jamieson, RW: Austin
Evelyn Smith, RW/RR: Fresh Meat
Janelle Casanave, RW: Key West
Jenn Grijalva, RW: Denver
Kenny Santucci, RW/RR: Fresh Meat
Tonya Cooley, RW: Chicago

Reportedly, the fourth person to be kicked off due to violence occurs in this season, which is also the second consecutive season for such offense. For people who don't like to be spoiled, I've put the name under the cut.

Heather Kryszak wins TRIBES: Fall of the Aztecs [Jan. 14th, 2007|01:05 am]
The After Show
Last week, in one of the most cutthroat LJ games in years, Heather Kryszak triumphed winning the first season of "TRIBES: Fall of the Aztecs" on games_lj. Kryszak, a newcomer to online gaming, beat seventeen other players, some of which were LJ's most notorious gamers.

Smart strategy by Austin Vaden, great challenge play by Ashley Stephens and Kryszak, and Casey Bellew staying far out of the limelight caused the four of them to conprise the final four.

Like Kryszak, Stephens displayed cunning challenge play, winning chiefdom at the final four. This caused Bellew to inevitably sacrifice Vaden. That left a final three of Bellew, Kryszak, and Stephens. The final challenge for the players was one in which they had to comment every five minutes, and who ever commented the most was the winner.

Kryszak prevailed and subsequently sacrificed Stephens, saying, "I don't think anyone in my position would take her to the F2 with them."

Bellew got four votes, but Kryszak received five, and won the game.

Paula Abdul becomes a pseudo-drunk? [Jan. 14th, 2007|12:31 am]
The After Show
Paula Abdul appeared on Seattle’s FOX affiliate to promote American Idol yesterday, and her behavior was odd, to say the least. If this wasn't a publicity stunt, I don't know what is. I've been around many drunks and she ain't foolin' me. She slurred her words, talks incoherently, she's even antzy. But, let's not forget that she's never been drunk in her life.

When asked about what viewers can look forward to seeing on the show this season, Paula says, “How about a lot of you coming in? It’s a wild party where you are.” Apparently, it's a weird reference to the alleged horrendous auditions the judges endured in Seattle. What do you think; drunk or not drunk?

Here's the raw footage in case you've missed it:

Introduction [Jan. 13th, 2007|05:48 pm]
The After Show

This is an introductory post to welcome all potential readers to The After Show. I hope you find my reviews, rants, previews entertaining and helpful. I designed this community because I love to write and I love reality games, so why not mash the two into one, right?

What you'll find here is interviews with LJ Hosts on their current seasons/upcoming seasons as well as post information regarding applications, news, interviews with cast members, and official cast info. I will not attack anyone, but I will offer my views and those might differ from yours. However, that does not mean I won't report all sides of a story.  Aside from LJ, I will also offer news about real reality shows, reviews, etc. I hope you enjoy!

Brief Bio:
I've been addicted to LJ reality games since 2004, but am now in a transition of hosting. In addition to this community, I moderate celeb_games and I am extremely proud of how fast it's growing. I'm graduating high school this spring, and I hope to be attending Columbia College: Chicago this fall.
